Dr Akanni, Taiwo Oludare is the Head of Paediatric Department at State Specialist Hospital, Ikere-Ekiti, Nigeria. He was born some decades ago at Ijero-Ekiti, Nigeria. He had his MBChB degree at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He did his house job at Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti; where he won the best house doctor of the year and also worked as a medical officer where he won the prize of the best medical officer of the year. He has a primary fellowship of West African College of Physicians, Certificate of Completion on Neonatal Resuscitation, Certificate of Pilot Training of Trainers for health provider in paediatric HIV/AIDS in Nigeria, Certificate on a Teaching Course on Burden of Renal Disease in Nigeria and Nephroprevention. He has some publications in learned journals. He is a youth pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Nigeria. He is happily married with children.
