
Dr (Mrs) Folakemi Olomojobi is currently the Head of Service of Ekiti State. She was formerly the Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. She was born at Ile-Ife several decades ago to the family of Late, Elder David and Mrs Felicia Olayinka of Inisa Quarters, Otun-Ekiti. She attended St Peters’ Demonstration Primary School, Akure, where she obtained her Primary School Certificate in 1981. She proceeded to Federal Government College, Ido-Ani, where she won a Federal Government Merit Scholarship award for a period of five years. She was admitted into the prestigious University of Ile-Ife, College of Health Sciences in the year 1987. She bagged the BChD award in 1993, thereafter completed the mandatory intern at the State Specialist Hospital Akure and the National Youth Service Corps at Police Hospital Falomo Lagos in the year 1994. Dr Olomojobi further sought additional knowledge in the area of Business Administration by enlisting and obtaining a Masters in Business Administration from Ekiti State University. In the year 2000, she bagged a Masters of Public Health Degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. In the course of her career, she served as Medical Officer with the Ekiti and Ondo State Governments and ascended the career path through the Directorate of Primary Health Care as Assistant Director, to being the Director of Health Planning, Research & Statistics, Ekiti State Ministry of Health. Dr (Mrs) Olomojobi holds Certificate in Basic Health Economics from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston and a Master of Science degree in Health Economics, Health Policy and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. She is a member of the “Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria” and was a cardinal member of the Nigerian team that studied the “Egyptian Health Sector Reform” in the year 2004. She holds a certificate in Project Management from the Royal Institute of Public Administration, Rochester London, and served as Project Manager of the World Bank Assisted Health System Development Project in Ekiti State between the years 2003 and 2008. Dr (Mrs) Olomojobi holds several leadership positions within and outside the country and has participated in various health reform programmes across United States of America, Ghana, Tanzania and Egypt. She has several publications in the area of “Health Policy and Management”. She is a child of the most High God, a lover of music and enjoys cooking and making friends. She is happily married with children.
